What is Taken from the Society, Used in the Interest of Society
The founder Mr. Hsu Chiu-Jing considers: peace, prosperity and harmony of a society are the roots of the company. Base on the concept of “what is taken from the society is used in the interest of the society”, Vitalon Welfare Foundation was established in 1991. Its goal is to actively send love to every corner in the society to implement the care to everyone’s prosperity and health. This is also the goal of establishing Vitalon welfare Foundation. On March 15, 1998, the Vitalon Welfare Foundation Hall that occupied almost 0.49 acres at Shuanshih Road in Taichung City, was opened to the public. It offers the conventional spaces to charities and non-profit organization for conferences, seminars, and art shows, which not only established a new milestone of “provide gifts to fellow citizens” spirit of Vitalon Foundation, but also infinite extend the potential of the charity events.
10000 People Hiking Campaign
Since 1976, in response to the government’s efforts for promoting exercise, Vitalon first held “10000 People Hiking Campaign” as a sample expecting to wake up everyone’s awareness of self-health. After 30 years of promotion, tens of thousands people were attracted to join the rally each year to walk to a healthy way. Furthermore, the rally has been the most celebrated events in the region because its suitableness for family to participate. The current participants have already reached 300,000.
Super Supau Cup
Since 1982, Vitalon has been holding “Super Supau Running Race” every year. In the last 20 years, Vitalon not only had encouraged people to get outdoor, to exercise together to build a healthy body by attracting countless people who love moderate hiking to participate the contest, but also has nurtured numerous running elites. Super Supau Cup really has been popular enough to raise the popularity of sports in the country.
Protection of Rhinoceros
In recent years, the awareness of international wildlife preservation has been increased; people around the world have realized the importance of ecological environment. In early 1991, Vitalon has taken the lead in cooperating with international ecological environment protection organization for holding the public welfare event of “Protection of Wild Rhinoceros”, which has taught people proper environmental protection concept and the awareness in ecological environment preservation, to practically upgrade the international image of Taiwan.
Develop Peaceful Society
In 1993, in cooperation with the concept of “Life Community” by Provincial Director, Mr. Lien Chang, Vitalon Foundation worked with the provincial government to “develop peaceful society” by using three major opinions, no violence, no drug abuse, and no domestic violence, to fill a new peaceful energy in the society, which later been celebrated by people.
Paint the Love of Mother Earth –Vitalon’s National Painting Competition for the Children
To inherit culture from the society, create peaceful and warm society, and promote life esthetics, Every year Vitalon Foundation holds “Paint the love of the Mother Earth” Painting Competition for the Children, hoping to raise the standard of Children art and open up their creativity.
Bring Love, Care for the Abused Children
Throughout the years, Vitalon Foundation has dedicated itself to support Chinese Children Welfare Foundation and it’s related family support centers to care our children. Enormous resources of manpower, materials, and funds were invested with Chinese Children Welfare Foundation to promote “Bring Love, Care for Abused Children” events. Furthermore, celebrities, Shiaoyang Chang, Huakan Chou, and Yuling Huang have been the voluntary “Children Care Ambassador” for a year term. Tremendous response and support were also obtained from the community.
Care for Home Alone Elderly
Sticking to the faith of “taking care of our own parents first then extend such care to other elderly in general”, Vitalon is a pioneer in taking care of elderly people in the society especially the care for the large numbers of home-alone elderly in our society. Taiwan Provincial Director, Mr. Chuyu Song, national-treasure-grade of cloth puppet master, Mr. Haidai Huang, and Yenqiu Lee were respectively invited as representatives for the activity. |
